Duchossois Technology Partners Appoints Tony Seth as General Partner, Opens Austin Office and Completes Investment in Airwalk Communications

Duchossois Technology Partners (DTEC) today announced that it has appointed Tony Seth as a General Partner of DTEC and opened an Austin, Texas office. “Operating from our new office in Austin will allow us to work more closely with our Texas-based portfolio and pursue opportunities in emerging companies in this very vibrant tech market,” said Seth, who will head the Austin office. “We continue to see many attractive technology opportunities in Texas, and our new office in Austin will expand our visibility of these opportunities,” stated Robert Fealy, Managing Director of DTEC, in announcing Seth’s appointment.

Seth’s experience includes working in venture capital, engineering and strategy consulting. He currently represents DTEC’s investments in Alereon, Airwalk, Neteffect and Pintail Semiconductor. He previously led investment activities at Intel Capital and Dell Ventures where he invested and worked with companies such as AppIQ (acq by Hewlett Packard), ALIS (acq by Carl Zeiss), Sandburst (acq by Broadcomm), Topspin (acq by Cisco), and Crossbeam Systems. He also was engaged in engineering and strategy consulting roles at Texas Instruments, Andersen Consulting, Alliance Consulting Group, and McKinsey and Company. Seth graduated from Yale University with a double major B.S. in Electrical Engineering and Economics. He completed his MBA from MIT Sloan School of Management and SM in Engineering Sciences from Harvard University.

DTEC also announced that it has completed an investment in Airwalk Communications, as part of its recently closed $15M Series B financing, and that Seth has joined Airwalk’s Board of Directors. Dallas, TX based Airwalk Communications develops radio access network infrastructure that combines the elements of a base station controller and transceiver for CDMA networks into a single low cost, small form factor package. “We are excited to have DTEC as part of our investor syndicate. They have shown to be smart, value adding investors, and we look forward to building a successful enterprise with them,” said Serge Pequeux, CEO at Airwalk Communications.
