MURRAY HILL, N.J. – Lucent Technologies (NYSE: LU) today said it had completed its acquisition of Mobilitec, a leading provider of content management software for service providers.
On Sept. 12, 2006, Lucent had announced its agreement to acquire Mobilitec in a cash transaction. Financial terms were not disclosed. The acquisition was not material to Lucent’s financials.
"The Mobilitec acquisition significantly strengthens Lucent’s offer in the young but growing content market and enhances Lucent’s next-generation platforms that support voice, video, data and multimedia applications, enabling more services for mobile and broadband users," said Sandip Mukerjee, vice president, Lucent Technologies Applications Solutions Business. "Our strengthened solution will help our customers introduce new next-generation services and capture new revenue sources."
