| IOGEAR Selects Alereon to Provide Solutions for Certified Wireless USB |

Alereon, Inc., the ultrawideband (UWB) technology leader for mobile WiMedia solutions based on Certified Wireless USB, today announced it has been selected by IOGEAR, a provider of all-in-one computer connectivity solutions, to provide wireless USB technology that meets the requirements of Certified Wireless USB from the USB-Implementers Forum (USB-IF).
IOGEAR will be providing consumer solutions based on the AL4000 WiMedia PHY Chipset from Alereon, the Intel® Wireless UWB Link 1480 media access controller (MAC) and the NEC Electronics µPD720180 Wireless USB DWA.
